Development Manager (Part Time)
As Development Manager, you will assist our Executive Director in crafting and executing the fundraising strategy for our growing organization. The Development Manager will ensure FCL engages current and prospective funders throughout the year, identify new funding opportunities for the organization, track leads and engagements, and serve as a creative collaborator for fundraising strategy development. This individual would also work with our Director of Content and Communications to craft compelling content for donor outreach, case statements, pitch decks, brochures and handouts, fundraising campaigns, grant reports, and other fundraising-related communications.
Our funding model draws from foundations, philanthropists, and corporate sponsors. This role will require research experience and an eye for appropriate fundraising opportunities. The ideal candidate will have: (i) ample professional development experience, (ii) strong organizational and people skills, (iii) strong writing and communication skills, and (iv) a strategic mind.
As a young organization, we are looking for a savvy development professional who can streamline our fundraising work, support our Executive Director’s portfolio, and uncover new funding opportunities for our growing organization.
The negative impacts of climate and nutrition access disproportionately impact the most marginalized people in society, including people of color, people from working-class backgrounds, women, and LGBTQ people. Because we believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.
